On my new Trek 4300 Disc the wheel set that is coming with it has Shimano M495 disc hubs; WTB Speed Disc rims, are thses things durable at all? or am I going to pretzel these things doing 2-3 foot drops? If anyone has any insight to what these rims are like I'd love to hear it. The second part to this is, who makes the most durable beat the **** out of, and still stay tru rim? Wieght isn't a big concern, being strong is first and formost. Thanks guys.

I would see if you can get some Juju hubs laced to Vuelat Excalibur or cliffhanger rims. Spokes, competitions or equivalent or if your really hardcore get some DH 13's in there.

i say this just from expirence(or lack there of) since i havent had alot of time to test alot of different rims(im only 16) but ive beat the F**k outta my alex supra bh's and im sure the supra ds are even stronger. both of my rims are still perfectly tru even after a few bad wrecks and some prety big drops to flat. even the lower end alex rim i had on my old bike stood up really well

Alex certainly makes super tough rims. I have low end alex rims (mx-22) on my bike, and those rims have been through alot of beatings.
