Hey Everyone!
Everybody on the west coast hopefully went to the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, and hopefully has pictures! If so, post them here. To get the ball rolling, here's some fun from saturday:

Did you see the Foes prototype? Apparently it is a 10inch single pivot with a 5inch stroke length shock

anthonaut 04-20-05 02:15 AM

Those boys at Foes sure like their original designs. Would like to see a pic.

Sea otter looks soo fun!

anthonaut 04-20-05 04:22 AM

Damn you hopper, i was just about to post that!

Oh well, heres the new foes with a 5", yes 5" stroke.

Wow a foes mtb... arn't they the guys that make peewee 50's ;) :p Man I love that shock.

Mmmm dash board as a top crown. Where's the beverage holder?

anthonaut 04-20-05 05:14 AM

Beverage holder is optional. Also optional are phone holders, coathanger hooks (for the drycleaning) and cd stacker.

snakehunter 04-20-05 08:16 AM

what about thecd changer? or a change bin? CMON GUYS those are bare essentials, that is one sick ride, I would def. love to take it for a spin

Man looks cold. What was it only 70 degrees f....hahahaha

Would have been fun to see half the time the dh course looks like its on sand.

Dirtbike 04-20-05 11:00 AM

thats because half is sand.

On sunday it was pretty cold. 70 degrees sounds about right. Saturday was nice and warm (~90)

Maelstrom 04-20-05 11:10 AM

You have got to be kidding me. 70 is so freaking nice. You southern americans are all wimps...haha

Dirtbike 04-20-05 11:16 AM

It was windy and it was cloudy. That made it cold. :(

KrisA 04-20-05 11:33 AM

The best news I heard from Sea Otter... Canadians DOMINATED XC! Kabush won mens, Sydor won womens. Good work!

Like I said....hahaha

only reason I watch xc is because of the canadians. I think the good american riders (for endurance) focus more on road, because seriously if there was money in xc and the roadies crossed over with the way most courses are made, they would likely dominate.

Was that sitting in a car with the heater cranked?

High on Saturday was 60 in Monterey and 69 in Salinas.

Nowhere near 90.

It had to have been in the lower 80's maybe upper 70's on Saturday. It was awesome weather. Even the announcer at the dual slalom practice kept commenting on the warm weather. Sunday got very chilly. I had to buy a long sleeve shirt because I was cold.

So the weather data from Saturday is wrong?

Please.
