Advise for carbon frame .

Always want to assemble a bicycle.

I want to buy a carbon frame. But different frame has different price.

For the carbon mountainbike(cross country), I want to know the difference between a$1000 frame and a$2000 frame.

Depends on how the manufacturer constructed it, and their overhead, and their desired profit margin.

like Lady's of the Evening, it's a safe bet the 2000 one weighs less than the 1000 one. most likely, more attractive too. :thumb:

Mostly it will be weight. Santa Cruz has a low-end carbon frame and a high-end carbon frame that they sell on their 5010. The geometry is the same, Santa Cruz states the difference is in the carbon to make the high-end lighter thus making it more expensive.

If you are asking this question the answer won't matter to you.

Have you seen other bicycle like Santa Cruz 5010, have same geometry but different carbon?

Bit confused here with what you are asking for, the 5010 is a nice bike/frame, but it's Aluminum, the 5010C & 5010CC are the carbon models. Also, the 5010C/CC is an AM bike, defiantly not a XC bike as you asked about in your first post.

If you were looking at the 5010C/CC here's a link to a review about them BikeRadar Battle: Santa Cruz 5010 CC vs Yeti SB5c - BikeRadar
