Is this a good deal

Hi guys, newbie here on MTB. I've just seen this sale online and am wondering it's a good deal. I don't even know if it's for a mountain bike. Sorry for my ignorance 😅

Shimano SLX & Deore XT Groupset // RD-M780 SL-M660 BR-M666 Hydraulic Brakes

" Deore XT SLX group set. It features SLX trigger shifters, an SLX triple front derailleur and a Deore XT 10-speed rear. This setup also includes a matching Deore 42/32/24 crankset and a Deore 11-36 cassette. This groupo also includes a set of SLX Hydraulic disc brakes matched with a 180mm and 160mm rotor set."

It's retail price is around $900 but is selling for $400 including shipping and handling. New items and positive reviews from seller. Why would it be this inexpensive?

Well, it's not really that much of a SLX/XT mix with just the RD being XT, also there is a Deore cassette in the mix, so it really should be described as a Deore/SXT/XT mix.

For value, compare it to what you can get at ChainReaction or Ribble, a quick look at Ribble has a full SLX + SLX brakes for $329 and a XT + XT brakes for $447. (you need to add rotors and adapters to this, but that will be to choice)

Regardless you where you are looking, XT should be getting heavily discounted now, as M8000 is going to be dropping into stores in the next month or so, and the move to 11 speed/new shiny parts will mean that there should be a lot old parts out there needing to be sold cheap.

For the seller you have found, and the price, upto you if you think it's good value, for the discount, no one pays retail online, and others are selling it at a greater discount than you seller.
