it may. I mean, there's aways a chance to break the frame even with a bike made for that kind of stuff, so I would imagine the chance would be significantly greater.

I think this would be better and according to msrp, you would have a $100 or so left over to upgrade some stuff.

Bruiser2 and I both have Trek Bruiser 2's. I can tell you that they are awesome for jumps and take trails really well. The Bruiser 1 is also a good bike though, it's a bit lighter as well.

I have a friend who has a trek 4500, he can't do anything on it. He can't even cat walk with it. I tried it and really didn't like it. The Bruiser 2 is the best way to go.

You are looking at very close to the same prices for the 4500 and the brusier 2. I have a 4300 Disc, and you can do drops on it, the frame is strong, it will hold up. My 4300 has the same wheel set as that 4500, and you'll be lo0oking at replacing rims if you are doing big drops on it. If you are truley serious about buying a bike (As you have been posotive that you were going to buy a bike about 5 times before this thread), and you are looking to drops, and DJ, the brusier 2 would be your best bet, I would have got one this year, but honestly the color mad me want to puke, if only they could have done it in the flat black. Hopefully next year they make it look a bit better, if I do more downhill this year I may think about a Brusier 3 also.

I have a 4300 and freeride with it, I broke every part except the frame and the derailleurs,Id only do XC or AM at most, or you will spend a bundle on burly parts, even then the geo is HORRIBLE for bunnyhops etc.

Hey che_lives90 you better change your little blip under your name again for the 5th time!!! I've humored your last few posts asking for reviews on bikes, but now I see they all end the same, "ok well I'm going to buy ______ bike" after your little display of childishness to a simple, and valid question, I would love to see you never post here again. You offer nothing in the way of informative comments, only pointless irrelevant drivel to other peoples posts or your numerous "I'm going to buy this bike" posts, personally I think you are a leech to this forum, and I'm becoming sick of watching you being such a parasite.
