Marzocchi 4x World Cup
anybody have any experience? i am looking to replace my manitou sherman jumper with something a little more adjustable. the '08 version is going to have a air/Ti coil Rc3 setup that would be the tits and comes in at only 4(!?!) lbs. ive heard mixed things about the 07 4x WC, and ive never thought that the lower end marzocchi were any good. opinions? the weight savings would be nice...

The 07 4x has turned out to be a great street and DJ fork for us, but it is very lacking in way of external adjustment. It will take a lot of tuning to make it act decent on the trail, and even then you only have so much travel to work with.
08 should be better, but again with this much/little travel you should consider what kind of riding you're going to use it for. It's really more of a short course (DJ/4x/street) tuned fork.

one less horse
Ditto on what BM said about the 07 - it's a decent fork but it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles.

nah man ive seen those forks top out to badly that they become hard to use. soooo heavy, id be willing to be they'd be pushing seven pounds. considering they are pretty much a straight up elastomer, i guess they do the job, but if i was you i would just go rigid. no suspension fork can be better than a poor one.

Hey BM, this is off-topic but I have to ask: whatever became of your experimenting with a more moto-like seat (as opposed to the traditional seatpost/saddle combo)? It really intrigued me and actually spurred me to build a couple of my own prototypes a couple of frames ago.

i was looking at the 4X myself for my build. i need i sturdy fork for DJ, Street/Urban and trials, but at the same time, some extra travel on the trail. it looks like a sweet fork, but i just hope they have them on Jenson. its 4.8 lbs, and i just realized they dropped the ravel to 100mm o well, max disc 8", 20mm axle, Aluminum steer tube, 32 mm nickel coated alloy stanchions, Air spring, air PL, RC3, and ya, thats it. white with black and gold stickers. for around the same price i suspect, you can get DJ 1's with a chick on it
