x.7 derailur question(online ordering)

ok ive went to all the online sites i could think of(adrenaline bikes, nashbar, CBO, pricepoint an jenson)
first of all i found i could get the shifter and derailur at CBO aprox 70$ and the derailur and shifter combo at pricepoint for 79.98 (but i comes with 2 shifters, is this so you can mount it either on the left or right?)

anyway is there a deal somewhere that i am missing and if im not, which of them has better shipping rates to Canada

thx

Im not positive but its probably for your front derailler...

3 in front...9 in back, you need a derailleur for both, so that probably what it is

You wouldn´t want two different shifters would you? ...or maybe you would, I wouldn´t know :)

Are you sure you want the x.7? It only comes in long cage.

What kind of bike are you putting it on, and how many chainrings?

Im assuming that you will be putting it on a single ring drivetrain, so the medium cage would be better. It has more clearance from rocks and logs, and it puts more tension on the chain, which is good.

The x.9 is the one that can be found in med cage, and thats why I got it. Im running an x.7 shifter. Single ring setup.

One is for the front derailleur, the other is for the rear derailleur. Also beware, Pricepoint only carries 3x9 shifters. So if you have an eight speed drivetrain, you'll have to spend more money.

There are some places where you can buy left or right only shifters. This is particularly relevant when it comes to the left (front) shifter. A lot of people prefer SRAMS 9 click front Grip Shift because of the ability to cancel out chain rub. But they'll run triggers on the right.

im gunna run it on the aline (34-11 cassette ) i didnt think i could run a med cage on that, and is it worth the extra money if it will work?

ya i have a 9 speed so its no big deal

I love my SRAM x.7 from pricepoint :D works on an 11-32 just dandy

A med cage will fit a 34-11 cassette. I know this because thats what I run. ;)

Just go with the med cage. Less chain slap and crisper shifting.
