Cross Country handlebar?

My old mtb has a bad handlebar (bad since i can't move the levers becouse there is a difference of tickness , the funny thing is that the original part of my mtb...).
Rise, Up sweep , back sweep and more stuff are starting to make me confused.

Do you think is bad to use a flat handlebar?
which one you will but for a mixed path? (climbing, drop, road and off road).
what is the best handlebar for XC?

thanks guys

Depends... When you choose a new handlebar, do you want your hands in the same position?

Have you read through this?

Buyer's Guide to mountain bike handlebars - BikeRadar USA

Basically any handlebar can fit a mountain bike. There's even a whole thread dedicated to drop bars (mostly recognized as road bike bars) on mountain bikes. Flat bars are fine as long as you understand that your hands will be at a lower position if you just swapped out a riser bar with a flat bar. As far as sweep, flat bars may have that as well. You may end up swapping stems to make everything feel right.
