2016 Tour Divide

I just saw that the Tour Divide mountain bike race was won this morning by Mike Hall (his second win). 2700+ miles in 13 days 11 hours and a few minutes. This is so far above my capabilities that it seems more like magic than something real. All the more amazing is that the total altitude climbed is 190,000+ feet!

Simply amazing.

One of the local guys from Spokane raced it about 6 years back. He made it about 2/3 of the way in a top position. Then he was in ICU for four days. Tough race.
