old cannondale
I came across this listing and not sure if it would be worth it. https://spokane.craigslist.org/bik/5696291939.html
The seller doesn't seem to know much about it. It looks like an SM500 from the mid 80s maybe? Listed for $75, he said he'll take $50. I'm really just looking for something to get on and get some exercise, I don't want to have to worry about constantly fixing and updating an old bike. I can't tell is it's dinged and rusted, or just muddy in the pics. He calls it excellent condition. I hear these were pretty solid bikes in their time, but is it worth it for someone who doesn't want to put a lot of effort into repairs? |

As well, i've rarely seen a $50 Craigslist score that didnt need new tires But as far as getting some exercise? It was good for that 30 years ago, its good for that today |
I have a Cannondale SM700
Bought it around 1990 - my first "real" bike - great bike then and still is - still ride it a few times a season.
If it's in good shape I would take it. |

That frame looks quite large, look for something smaller if it's too big for you. . |
