Raleigh XXIX custom project... COMPLETE!!!
Here's the project complete. Well... except for the Race Face grips I'm waiting on and I will be upgrading the handlebar to a matching Ritchey carbon when I decide which one I want.
The bike was originally Alice Blue but it was pretty beat up. I wanted to do something about the brake mounts going across the top tube because I really didn't like the way it looked. So I removed them and did a custom internal cable/hose routing in the top tube. I was considering painting it BWM Laguna Seca Blue but I decided on a more industrial look with the raw steel showing. In case you missed it, here is a link to the original thread with some photos of the build in progress... http://www.bikeforums.net/mountain-b...m-project.html http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...pszze3hvrk.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...psneha5y1g.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...ps9erxlqk5.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...psbou5o7rg.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...pswomhc7pd.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...pstpsuaak8.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...psydbchcuo.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...pscrjq9xsv.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...psnpdsyjjc.jpg |
That looks very nice. I like the decision to go with a raw metal finish.

Very sexy and classic. Lots of dignity. What rotors did you go with?
