SR Suntour upgrade to a Raidon XC Lo R for $200
My bike came with a crappy SR Suntour XCT fork and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a Raidon XC lo R air fork for $200 shipped (Originally $300 but $100 off through upgrade program.)
I was wondering if anyone had any firsthand experience with this particular fork and could share any thoughts on it.
At this price point ($200) is this a good deal?
Will upgrading to this fork significantly improve the riding experience on my bike?
I have a entry level hardtail and I've already upgraded the wheels, tires, drivetrain, handlebars, etc.
I noticed that my OEM tires were garbage right away, I started noticing that my drivetrain was a POS a couple of rides in and when I got my Deore XT stuff it was like night and day. I'm hoping to feel that same impact with a new fork because the one that came with the bike feels like a jackhammer. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

$200 is a good price for an air fork. And yes, it will make things dramatically better. The jack hammer sensation is because the coil spring is too stiff, with an air fork, you can adjust the pressure to fit your weight so that everything works properly. Once you go air, you don't go back.

Awesome, good to know. I've upgraded everything else little by little and I noticed how those updgrades have made my bikes tons better. I mean, the OEM crankset that came with the bike can be had for like $20 on amazon, go figure.

Upgrading the fork made the bike steer better, made the bike stick better.
It Instantly took far less energy from my upper body to ride the single tracks and even the fire roads.
You do that and then the wheels, well then you may be spending too much,, maybe a new bike with better stuff and newer geo would be wiser....
