Just picked up my bike from the shop, it's like night and day difference. Here is what it has on it now.
Trek 800 Sport, full rigid
-Sram MAX Comp 7 speed grip shifter
-Sram 7 speed chain
-Specialized 2005 BG2 Sport (V-Groove) saddle
-Bell aluminum waterbottle holder
-Shimano Altus 7 speed rear derailleur
-Shimano bottom bracket
The shop only charged for the rear derailleur, chain, and the saddle.
It's not the best bike in the world even with the replacements and upgrades, but I love it.

The difference is amazing for something so little changed, I can climb hills in a taller gear, I can push the tallest gear further on pavement, and it just feels totally different, the rear derailleur and bottom bracket it had before must have totally sucked.
