So I bought this off ebay for $360 with shipping. I am pretty pleased. The cable disc brakes work amazingly well. The front rim was spray painted pink, but whatever. I covered up some other pink on the frame and added the blue while I was there. I've also added the street tires, grips, and a cable. I have some pedals ordered, because the one keeps tightening up on me when I pedal, though I have tried to adjust it. I also ordered a spacer kit and sprocket for it, and I got a bmx chain to put on it. So that put's my total to around $460. I'm hoping I can get my fork serviced, though I'm not really sure if it needs it. It's crazy stiff in the 100mm position, but isn't too bad in the 120mm position. The guy told me he liked how stiff it was because he never bottomed it out. So I don't know if I want to put the money into it. Also I'll probably have to get a new headset and/or bottome bracket within a year, but I figure I got a decent frame, fork, wheels and brakes for a pretty good deal atleast and I don't mind building it up anyway.

That's an azonic steelhead frame, in the smallest size too (a 14" I bleieve). Which I think fits, though I may have tricked myself into it by riding a bmx for a month or two. I'm 6'2". There is a link about it in the freeride hardtail sticky under frame only.

Good frame. Cromoly frames feel great.

The pink makes it look pretty ghetto. I think it would look better without.

About the brakes, I have a pair of those in my spare parts box from my hardrock. I didnt find them to have much stopping power at all. Maybe yours are different?

Yeah, I was surprised, maybe they are "broke in" or whatever but they feel better than my friends BB5's and I got them dialed in for some 1-finger braking. It's money. Are they Deore brakes, because that's what the guy though, and all they say is shimano, so I'm just looking for some verification.

:edit: that pink is kind of ghetto, but that rim is old and I do'nt feel like F'n with it, unless I paint it another color I guess. Didn't really think about that, oh well that pink overspray will still be all over the spokes...

It'd look better if you cut the steer tube down, used less spacers, and just got a higher rise handlebar... maybe a BMX stem and some like 5-6 rise BMX bars.


Nice bike though. I agree the pink looks rather crappy.

whoops, I already ordered new handlebars...I guess I forgot to mention that. Race Face Evolve DH's. I'll consider it though, next time I need new handlebars, or hell, I still might check it out. a few less spacers couldn't hurt.

:edit: Which brings up a question, would the diabolus have been that much better, or will I be happy with the evolve? Because the evolve were cheaper and lighter, which normally isn't how it works.

Unfortunately I have to say I do not. But it's not from lack of will more from lack of a place to ride and a means to get there. I would so freakin' love to do it though...regularly aaahhh, that'd be nice.
