Rear Rack for Mountain Bike with No mounts on Frame Whatsoever
Seeking a standard rack that could hold up to 30-40 lbs-- I understand that "P" clamps could be used on the lower part of the seat stays. Is there a mount that can utilize the seat post to support the front end of the rack?
Also, Is there a rack that's most suited for this setup? BTW, the bike has disk brakes... Thx!

If you bike has a seat collar, you can use one of these Post-Lock | Salsa Cycles (other brands/generics are available cheaper)
For what rack, most brands make disc compatible ones now (will probably be the default in a few years), the issue would be where the caliper is mounted vs the chain-stay, inside, or on the seat-stay, if one the seat-stay, P-Clips could foul this, without knowing what bike/frame you have, this is an unknown.
For the weigh, just about any rack should cope with what your looking at, over this weight (upto about 55lbs/25kg) your need to look at high end racks steel like Tubus, Old Man Mountain, Salsa, Surly and Nitto, as with all brands, each will have models of different specs, so check the individual model for capacity.
