Ghost Brand MTB
I can't find a lot of info about Ghost brand bicycles. I know they are sold at REI. I just bought a used SL AMR x5
I like the bike and it fits me well. I've been a road biker for a while and i'm just getting into mountain biking. I also spend too much time reading about bicycles. Any experience with this brand? Icebike reviews suggest this bike is really a novice level bike. It seems about equivalent to other brand bikes in the same price range.

Ghost is a reputable brand from Germany. REI cut a deal w/them for the U.S. distribution rights. I have never personally ridden a Ghost, but I'd put the brand on the same level as Trek, Specialized, etc. The bike you bought looks very nice, and I have no idea why anyone would term it as a novice-level bike.

My wife rides the top level Ghost Lanoa (sp?) and loves it. It seems to be and excellent bike. Great frame and top flight components.
