Hi Guys,
I'm toying with the idea of buying a Fat bike. In addition to my Specialised hybrid.
Any thoughts?
Cheers Julian

could have used it on a cpl sandy forest roads that were softer than I was equipped for. also, I wished I had one during a snow storm last year. was fine on my studded hybrid tires until the snow got deep!

What riding surface are you planning for? If you're not going for sand or snow, a fat bike might be too fat. Maybe a "mid-fat" (around 3 inches wide) would do the job. No point in paying for the weight and rolling resistance of a 5 inch tire if you never need that much floatation.

Then again, maybe you do need 4 or 5 inches of floatation.
