How to bring front wheel up?

Hey, I am using an old 4 or 5 year old Mongoose Ledge 2.1 and I can barely bring my front wheel up. I do the pedaling down and trying to pull up and shift my weight back, but I'm unable. Will it just come a ton of practice? Any tips maybe?

Still not able to bring the front wheel up, no progress. :(
I've been trying the sitting down, pedal down and pop up, and tried that standing, both so many times every day that i'm outside. I just can't seem to get it up high with this bike.

I would love to help but honestly, I don't know what to suggest beyond the GMBN and Phil's video's. If it's any consultation to you; Phil had problems with this and he was a pro down hill rider. I'm almost 50 now but rode BMX and Freestyle BID and learned to wheelie before I could bunny hope but to be completely honest, I broke my wrist and tweeked my ankle pretty good trying to wheelie when I got back into riding. I do lift the front end (more of a manual) when I need to get over something on a MTB but that's on platform pedals. I don't try wheelies on my bikes that have clipless pedals.

Are you just unable to get the front wheel up or can't hold a wheelie for any distance?

Here is Phil ( a really great guy who makes very entertaining videos ) talking about his efforts

I will watch that video right now, seems interesting.
I don't bike trails, It's just this is the only bike I have right now. I am unable to get the front wheel up. You know how when some people try to wheelie and the bike slips out and they land on their feet? I can't get to that stage yet. I'm unable to get the wheel up high enough.
