Brake boosters?

Were brake boosters on 90s mtbs only for V-brakes? That is where i see them installed most. Would they work for cantis as well?

Yeah, any rim brakes really. They even made rollercam/U-brake boosters. You often need to find some good spacers and long bolts to run them on canti brakes. Most have a bunch of pad hardware sticking out in front instead of behind like a V-brake.

Boosters came with all that stuff back in the day, the few that are available now don't seem to come with much in the way of hardware or spacers.
