Comfort bike for offroad use

I have a bad neck and was wondering if anyone had experience mtn biking with an upright position.
I found an adjustable on the go stem called the ez-ride.

Any experience or thoughts would be appreciated.

I used to have one and it worked fine on a lot of single track. My mtb is obviously better for cornering quickly. Biggest thing is that it seems like i had to slow down a bit more in the corners but it was still very doable.

Maybe dirt road but, all offroad bikes are upright-- a modern 'comfort' road bike is no good for offroad because it won't have a frame and fork shock.
