Yeti 575 26" or Nukepproof Scout

Hello all,
Beginner here, I am looking for a good used bike and spot the 2013 Yeti 575 26" for sales ($1250).
Spec : small frame, Fox CTD 32mm with 150mm travel, Fox rear shock Disc brake, SRAM cranks 24/44, 9sp or 10 sp(Not sure) cassette, 26" M1900 DT Swiss wheel.
Looks like it is all stock and in pretty good conditions.
Right now I have a 99' Gray Fisher Joshua F3 FS 26" 3 by 9. It is a good bike but dropper post can't be installed because it is a Y-frame bike.
My trails are fire road, a lot of climbing and descending (Rancho Cucamonga CA) but no jump or technical.
So the question is, is the 13' Yeti 575 26" worth the money? I think my first mods will be dropper post.
I know with $1250, I can get a nice 27.5 hardtail like Vitus nucleus, sentier or Nukeproof scout. But the Yeti looks like a dream bike to own.
And my budget is $1250 or less. Right now 27.5” and 29” are so popular so some good used 26” can be have with good price. I am 5.6” and don’t mind the 26” geometry, or should I?
What would you choose and why? Need your advice.

The biggest difference between a 2013 and 2018 bike would be the geometry. Mountain bikes have become more slack recently. Also make sure a small is your size, you may be a medium at 5'6". Skip the bike if it is not your size.

I'd suggest trying to Yeti and trying a modern bike like the Trek Roscoe. You may be able to find a 2018 Roscoe 8 in your budget.

I love the new or newer slack head degree angle long top tube geometry. Weight in the center of the bike instead of the old times weight forward like a road bike. New geometry all the way.
Nukeproof scout!

These folks are having a sale.
