Cool crisp day out on the trails !
Time to go play on the trails on a nice cool crisp Fall day after work. The temp was in the high 50's and my colder weather clothing are slowly making their appearance. It's not to long before Winter shows it's face, so who looking forward to so winter riding ?

I like the summer and spring riding better however I do ride all year long. the thing I don't like about winter riding is not being able to take off during the week in the evening to ride. Although people here ride our trails in the dark I wont be.

Fall where I live is fantastic if you can get a sunny day to coincide with fall color and a weekend when there's time to get out on the bike. Late summer and early fall are some of my favorite times to be out. Early fall is over with though. We had our first snow a couple weeks ago. We have snow on the ground now. Winter is upon us!

There is not much daylight in Alaska in winter, but off roading is still fun with lights. The roads where I live are not very biker friendly, besides being dark and have the shoulders of the road and bike paths covered with snow plowed off the roads. I prefer to XC ski in winter though.

Getting off of work with some daylight left in the winter is the hardest part.

I've been hibernating the last couple days. Finally got a little single track in over the weekend, some climbs had a thick layer of leaves on wet dirt

I am just hoping for enough dry weather for the trails to reopen before it gets cold. It is already cool enough trails dry out slow.

Here on the Oregon coast the weather has been perfect=cool and dry. I don't even begin to sweat until I'm about 3 miles in and pushing it, Gotta love it. Got my rain gear on standby though.
