My first post.
I have a set of old Rock Shox Judy T2's on my bike. They are set up for someone much lighter than me. I weigh in at 250lbs +. Can I change out the spring in them to stiffen them up? I really don't want to spend much money. If I could find a set of used forks that would be better for $100 or less I may consider it. But I would like it if I could just upgrade mine. I am just getting back into biking and losing some weight. I have been on some pretty good trails that were slightly above my level of riding abillity and I had a blast! I can see my self getting way crazy into biking again. From the time I learned to ride till I was 17 I rode my bike EVERYWHERE! Now I'm 35 and starting to remember why I loved it so much. |
I don't know about how old that fork is but you should be able to find stiffer springs if they are still made. :)
By the way, they shouldn't cost more than 40 bucks. |
Ok. Thanx for the info. Would anyone know where I could find stiffer springs. I must just not know where to look. I have searched several places.

Give Rock Shox / SRAM a call. They should be able to point you in the right direction. One place that always seems to have odd parts is www.bikeman.com so give them a try too. You may have to call them though, they probably won't list older parts like that.
