Grips and Gloves for Endurance racing

Any recommendations for grips/gloves for super long mtb and gravel races that will be easier on the hands and arm?. What I use now are pretty std. firm oe mtb grips and basic road gloves w/ minimal padding. Bike is mtb w/ flat bars.
