Can a front fork be rebuilt?
First my apologies. I have been a life-long hard-core roadie and know next to nothing about mountain bikes and their suspension. I do have a MTB, a Kona Hei Hei that is full suspension. It's a couple years old now and I noticed when I took it out on the trails the other day, for the first time since the snow melted, that the front suspension didn't work quite right.
I was riding in a state park with fairly flat and smooth roads. In this particular case, I locked both the front and back suspension. I noticed that even though the front suspension was locked, that I was able to compress it about half way by pushing down on it. Even while riding, just my weight compressed the front fork a bit, (rear seems "normal").
Is my front fork toast, or can they be rebuilt? Or is it as simple as adding fluid or air? It is a RockShox XC32, which I understand from a rudimentary Google search to be a budget fork in the RockShox lineup. Can it be saved? I'm not really a serious off roader, but do like to take to the trails on occasion. Any help appreciated.

Yes. You can buy a rebuild kit and the oil and grease, and follow the service manual on their website.

Go to your LBS, yes you want to add air. What psi and settings do you usually run it at?

Thanks guys for the info. Leebo, can't answer you. Like I said, I'm a roadie and know nothing about mountain bikes. I can keep a road bike running just fine, but am at a loss to know how to keep a MTB going.

20 years wasn't what you claimed. The nonsense that you posted was "After a few years , fork rebuild parts kits get discontinued.. good luck.."
Tricked? You posted more unhelpful nonsense that was disproved with a two second search. No trickery was involved, just you posting crap and me preventing the OP from believing your nonsense.
If you think repeatedly posting nonsense to "trick" people is helpful, you have even more issues than you've shown before.
