SPD Cleats with Carbon Soles
Hello,
With typical nylon soles, a SPD cleats will leave groove marks which on the upside allow easy cleat replacement position, however the downside is the marks will make fine-tuning your cleats after tightening difficult as it'll tend to go back to the previous cleat position. Now with carbon soles not having a "soft" surface, will SPD cleats groove crushes the carbon layer or what? As I use my MTB shoes on my road bike as well, so I find nailing the cleat angle as very important, and having the cleat leaving groove marks on the sole makes it difficult to fine tune it. |
Mine still leave indentations. Maybe the actual platform part is nylon. (Shimano somethingorother expensive shoes.)
