is this something that needs upgrading or will it hold out for a year or two doing xc riding and taking some 3 foot drops?

I'm sure it can handle that without upgrading (perhaps change spring according to weight) but as long as you lube it regularly it'll be perfect.

Assuming its a 2005 model fork,its not thier best work but it is well made and it will do what your asking of it. Have a look...

dude, i cant find it on their site wtf, it says mz comp on the fork and on the spec sheet. ya know i am gunna have to deal with it till christmas, and my birthday comes. so then i can get some upgrades if i want.

i wish i could get a job ! ! !
