The Joys of Univega
After a 15 year rest up, last year I recommissionined my 1995 Univega Rover 305 MTB. I used the bike regularly for the first 10 years, but had a romance with road bikes for a few years & the old Univega was left in the garage, gathering dust.
With a new set of Continental tyres, brakes, chain set & a full service/tune up she was ready to return to the roads & trails last year. It's such a beautiful machine to ride, so responsive & comfortable. Instead of feeling like you are riding the bike, it's more like you & the bike are one. As I live in the UK, I hear that old Univegas have a cult status in the US. Is this true? |
Yes, that would be correct: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...on-thread.html
Miyatas as well. Welcome. Sorry about the missing pictures on the thread, I would read it backwards, newest posts first. ;) |
Thank you for the link.
