27.5 rear

I’d like to try this sometime. I think this setup would be ideal. Big front tire to gobble up rough terrain. Smaller rear tire to be able to throw around easier.

I have heard mix reviews about them. Both from friends and from reviews by pros. I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that everyone is difference and personal preference will always come out on top.

Been tried by myself, it's okay until you need to climb. The bigger diameter up front takes the weight off the front which is no good. Maybe a mullet spec'd bike like the Foes

Isn't that the opposite of a mullet? :)

I have heard of this type of mixing and matching on 29+ bikes - guys put a fat 26" front with a 29+ rear wheel so overall diameter is really close but kinda also opposite of what the OP is talking about, but same concept in as much as the wider, higher volume tire is in the front to take up trail chatter, etc. and the 29+ is in the rear as your motor.

Never ridden anything like this but I know of one guy who has a rigid bike setup like this who takes it down the A-line at Whistler. **shrugs**
