New hardtail build, sound alright?

Well I ordered my new hardtail frame a few days ago. I already have a lot of the parts but need to order the rest of the build later this week. Thought I would get some opinions before I finalize the build. This bike is basicly going to be built for smoother races only. I already have my Ellsworth Truth for the more technical courses and 24 hour races. I don't want to dump a lot of money into this bike since it is not going to be my primary bike.
Anyway, here it is:
18" Ellsworth Enlightenment frame
Rock Shocks SID Team fork with remote lockout
FSA XC-300 disc wheelset
Magura Marta SL disc brakes - already have
Thomson stem - already ordered
Thomson seatpost - already have
FSA K-Force cabon flat bar
Single Track solutions bar ends
Fizik Aliante Saddle - already have
FSA Carbon Pro crankset- already have
American Classic ISIS bb - already have

Haven't decided on tires yet, probably going with Continental Escape / Explorer. That combination just really seems to work well around here.

Nice nice nice. HOWEVER! Why not venture outside the Ellsworth brand? Eh? Maybe go adventurous with a custom frame eh? Maybe even titanium or some other such space age material? Eh?

I considered having an IF built but after I got the price from Ellsworth on the Enlightenment frame I couldn't turn it down. Seeing as how this is not my primary bike price was / is a concern.

Nice build. I don't know the frame, but I assume it is standard ellsworth quality. Can't wait to see a pic

From what I can tell the frame is basicly a Sub 22 with a couple of small tweaks.

LOL , well it's not exactly cheap I guess. Retail for the build is between $3,500 and $4,000. Good thing I went cheap on a couple of parts heh.

Well I just took the frame out of the box and it is beautiful! Well, as beautiful as an aluminum hardtail can be anyway. 
The 18" frame weighs in at 1480 grams. I was hoping for around 3 pounds but I guess that is close enough.

Well, I started the build last night. Unfortunately I had some things come up so I couldn't finish it. It's close though, just have to put the saddle on, chain, run the cables and put the tires and stan's no tube kit in. Other than that I just need to face the brake tabs, unfortunately that is going to be necessary on this bike.

Well here is the complete bike right after it's first 20 miles of single track.
Initial impressions - This bike is FAST! Don't really know how else to describe it. I have never been on a bike that steers as quick as this one. It climbs great as well, I actually have a new best time up the 1.4 mile fire road climb that starts my ride out. Last year my best time was 11:05, earlier this year I did it in 10:37. Yesterday I did the climb in 10:18. I'm hoping to do it in under 10 minutes in a few weeks. This bike just likes to climb.
The downside is that the bike is definately harsh. I believe I may have lost a couple of feelings on this ride but the speed is worth it. My back did hurt a little but not too bad. I just need to learn how to ride a hardtail again.
Overall, I really like the bike. Once I get used to it I'm sure my race times will improve slightly.

LOL, sounds like a good suggestion to me. I think the closest we have to that right now is Mountain Bike Action has a feature on a different pro's bike every issue. It's pretty cool to see how they have their bikes set up and how much they weigh in at.
