2004 Titus Swithblade...Titanium?

Not finding anything on a titanium model. Xt 9speed, magura Marta sl brakes, 27.2 seat post diameter, Industry 9 hubs to 26" Stan Notubes, Fox fork and 5th element. I've read the first two digits of the serial number are the year. Also read that by 2004 they were no longer using a 27.2 seatpost. Needs the rear shock replaced. My question would be if they made a Ti frame for that model and what would be a good replacement shock?

Judging by those welds-that frame is aluminum

The company was called Titus Titanium for a while but most all switchblades were aluminum. And that bike clearly is aluminum.

Titus used the classic HL design with a front pivot at the 11 o'clock position near the BB. That gave a very active ride but one that could bob a ton if you were not a smooth peddler. Also, I personally found old style HL bikes to work best with a coil shock. The anti-squat numbers for those old Titus bikes were bad in the granny ring, terrible in the middle ring and really, really terrible in the big ring. If you are going to ride it, I would highly recommend going to a 1X system with as small as a front ring as you can use.

Thanks for your insight, yes, just checking on that headbadge. I have an alpina that will get the donor parts.
