Canadian online shops????

Does anyone know of any good online bike shops in Canada or at least with good shipping rates to Canada.
Brauns.com is the best I've found so far with good prices and selection. Anything else?

Check out www.pricepoint.com

I haven't ordered from them yet but they seem to be Canada shipping friendly.

I checked a few items that I want to order, Price Point is much cheaper than Brauns.

There is bikeroom.com but be warned that their product availability appears to be very spotty and they don't do a good job of notifying you of this. You just sort of wait and wait, send out an email and if you're lucky you'll get a reply that goes something like, "Oh yeah, we should have emailed you. That item is backordered."

I did buy from PricePoint.com and they are Canadian friendly. First of all they ship using US Postal Service and not UPS/Fedex. Second of all their shipping rates are not bad especially if you spend enough. If you spend just under $100 USD I think the shipping rate was somewhere between $10 and $15 USD.

mec.ca sells quite a bit of stuff...

I would recommends heavily against using bikeroom.com during midseason.

Yeah, forgot about MEC.ca. I don't consider them online (even though they do sell that way) because it is a local store to me. Their prices on stuff can be pretty competitive although they do not carry everything.

MEC is great for clothing and accessories...I wish they sold more components.

What I noticed about the MEC store here in Montreal is that they sell some parts that are not listed in the catalogue nor online.

For example, the bike section here sells SRAM and Shimano derailleurs as well as Crank Brothers pedals. Both the print catalogue and the web page do not show either of these two sets of items.

A couple more. www.velotique.com out of Toronto and www.brauns.com out of Kitchener

Same thing in the Toronto store. They sell some front and rear derailleurs for both road and MTB, and some road shifters. I bought a set of Crank Bros Mallet C pedals at MEC for $98 CDN, which is a pretty good price.

I think they do but they ship using Fedex or UPS which is a bad thing. All other things considered equal (availability, pricing, variety), you are better off picking the U.S. online retailer that ships using US Postal Service over UPS/Fedex to avoid brokerage fees which can get pretty steep.

www.bikecanada.com Dirt cheap, but you hand your card number over to a guy over the phone, not through the site. My friend was shifty about it, but it seems fine.
