Canyon Spectral CF 8 (mullet) Sizing

Hey guys and gals,
I am looking at getting a new Canyon Spectral CF 8 (mullet) but am torn up about the sizing. Currently, I sit at 185cm tall with an inseam of 92cm and ride a X-Large Trek Slash 7. Now the Canyon website has recommended a Large frame for this bike which makes me very tempted to go down the size as it would be more fun and playful especially with the mullet. But atm I am hesitant as the reach is 35mm shorter and wheelbase is 55mm shorter and as I am ordering online, i cannot test these in person. In conclusion, I don't want to order a bike that is too small for myself but I also don't want to regret buying a bike that could have been a more perfect fit. If anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice to offer, that would be great.

I'm not sure why you would consider an xl when your height is at the low end of the large range. I am the same height as you and every bike I've ever owned is a large. Awesome bike!

Ah yeah fair. It was just because all other bike fit tools I’ve used (trek and 99 bikes primarily) recommended XL. But the more I think about it, you are right. That gives me much confidence in the Large. Thank you for the advice
