Shox

Got a 2008 stumpjumper with a fox shox f-series 32 rl front shock. Not as big of a rider as my younger years but would like the bike to stay "ridable". It's leaking oil on one side. I've had the bike a number of years and now I guess my big question is should I have it rebuilt or just replace? If replace, what's a decent set to consider? The rear is probably in the same category. Fox triad 7.25 x 1.75.

thanks for any insight

If the anodizing/coating on the stanchions is not shredded just get it rebuilt. Figure $120-$150 for a shop/suspension shop to do it

Or you can do it yourself but it's not really any cheaper if you need to buy all the tools & lube to do it. But it will be much cheaper the 2nd time.

I've rebuilt a handful of the old Fox F32's & F100's over the last year, I prefer the green SKF seals... they are SMOOTH!

If the stanchions are in good shape and the bushing have no play (Google how to check for bushing play in a fork) then I would get it rebuilt.
