Cheap & Cheerful Concorde NGUDA
I just picked up a delicious all-original 21-speed Concorde NGUDA with TANGE Cro-moly frame, Shimano Hyperdrive-C crank set and chain rings, Alivio derailleurs, Altus cantilever brakes, nearly new Kenda tires, and a set of Araya alloy wheels with Parallax hubs. I bought it from the original owner for a pittance ; less than the cost of a large pizza (pepperoni, mushrooms, double cheeze, no anchovies).
A local woman (who told me that she bought the bike new in 1993 or 1994 for about $400) had listed the bike on Marketplace for a week or two at $100 Canadian, then dropped the price to $70 for a month.
I offered $25 Canadian for it (about $18.50 US).
To my surprise, my offer accepted (!).
She knew that she paid a lot for t so she took good care of it.
The bike was not used at all for a long time and it lived indoors so it has survived the 29 years without any issues.

Nice bike! Gotta love these old rigid mountain bikes - so versatile and a blast to ride. I have a 92 Trek 950 and a 95 Giant ATX, once I get enough posts I’ll load up some photos.

'Delicious'?
And that bike was/is entry level, never expensive.
