She just played shuttle-mom for one of my kids and his friend. She is now with the friend in the ER while he gets a CAT scan.
Maybe I should stick to old fogey gravel biking. |

I have two:
(1) Nobody made a carbon mountain bike in which flexible stays replaced the pivots until Canyon did. (Trek admittedly has a superior implementation of the idea.) I. not logging in to argue as I didn’t do any fact checking , But just going off of memory Slingshot also had a carbon pivot, although not a chai stay or seatstay one |

I've been mostly gravel biking the last 10 years mainly because most modern mountain bikes feel FAR to heavy to me, and frankly I kind of suck at mountain biking
My full suspension bike is 27 lbs and and my Hardtail is 24 lbs. |
My kid's Knolly Fugative
What's you full sus? |
Spot Mayhem 130. Was 28 lbs and some change when I bought it, now it's 27 lbs after a carbon wheel upgrade. Could probably shave another pound if I got rid of the dropper post.

The Lux Trail line went on sale for a week, but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, given that Pinkbike review (and a few others that corroborated it), and our previous experiences with various frame cracks.
So now I am looking at the Trek Supercaliber 9.7, and realizing it is only $50 less than the e-Caliber 9.6 (which comes with dropper post, better brakes and other components, but aluminum wheels). (Or maybe I should be content with what I currently have.) |

The Supercaliber is on my short list of dream bikes, but was out of my financial reach when I was in the market for a MTB. .

If you are interested, Trek has most of the current models discounted by $1000 at the moment. A new version with slightly more travel and slacker head tube angle will be released it is rumored on August 10th, 2023.
