$40 I would get it, which you did. That is a good deal unless the bike is total trash. Those XT components were the TOP OF THE LINE back in the day because XTR didn't yet exist so it is good stuff we actually recently had a old Klein with a similar set up minus the better brakes (XTR V-brakes are some of the best linear pull brakes out there) and I remember a year or so ago having an old Fisher in the shop possibly also similar but I cannot remember but they are nice.
Though I would be curious on the ones that Charlie is selling or MBHOF those could be neat-o as well not as cheap but cool. Old Fishers and Kleins and all of that before they got chewed up and spit out by Trekinstein's Monster are pretty neat. If I could get my grubby little paws on a Tinker Juarez Klein with that lightning paint job...hubba hubba.
Enjoy the bike and if not I will buy it for $50...LOL
