Rossin Mistral 1990s MTB Build, Need Fork Suggestions
Hello Bike Forums,
I have a vintage Rossin MTB frame (aluminum) that Im preparing to build. Frame pictured below.
My major unknown is finding a high-performing/cool-looking 26" suspension fork. The headtube inner diameter is ~38mm, outer diameter is 43mm.
* I could also use help figuring out which headset and steerer size to look for
Im inviting the community to share vintage & semi-vintage MTB gems that fit these criteria:
- 26"
- rim or disc
- fits the headtube dimensions above
- looks cool and performs well
and:
- does not need to be period correct, but also don't want random unknown modern brand
- hard-to-find parts are ok !
More build specs Im hoping to make work:
Wheels - Mavic Crossmax
Seatpost - TBD
Seat - Tioga spyder outland demo (acquired)
Groupset - Shimano XTR M980
Brakes - Magura Hydraulic Rim (+ mayb front disc)
Headset - TBD
