Help! Should I buy it?!

I need to know if a 2000 Specialized Rockhopper PRO is worth $375? According to the seller, it is in good condition and was only used for one season. I need to know ASAP, but I'm having difficulty finding a price check on the internet. What do you all think?

BTW, shipping costs will be added...maybe 60,70 dollars?

Also, what is the difference between the Rockhopper Pro and Rockhopper Comp?

I would say that it is not worth it, especially after shipping and since it is used you might have to invest a little in it. See the $500 thread. You can get a nice new bike for the price you'll be paying.

The Pro has better components than the Comp.

I think the price is pretty good if the bike really has only been ridden one summer. If it were in your city I'd say go for it for sure. But yeah, the shipping may override the value, not sure what it would cost to ship though. Plus, you have to take the word of the seller unseen. But even if shipping is $100, paying $450 for that bike in virtually new and hardly ridden condition is still pretty good. If you can trust them and shipping is reasonable I'd certainly consider it.

Seems like someone bought it. I'm not so sure it was such a good deal. Heck in those days the Rockhopper pros didn't even use disc brakes?

Ooops, I had to back out of the sale. I was so afraid to lose the deal, and so I went ahead and commited myself. I won't do that again! Oh well, on Tuesday I'm going to pick up my new Giant Iguana. Thanks a lot, all of you for your help!!! =D
