Noobie fork question

I am getting ready to purchase a Salsa Moto Rapido frame.

Frame Link

The specs call for a 80mm fork. I was wondering how much I could vary from this size. I am looking at a Rock Shox Pike, 95mm-140mm travel.

Link to the Fork

Since I am 6'5"-250lbs, would going with a fork with more travel effect to stance of this frame??

If it calls for a 80mm fork, get a 80 mm fork.

If you go with anything over 80mm you probably void the warranty, and at 250lbs you will probably need all the warranty you can get, honestly.

Thanks for the advise. Then an 80mm it will be. Does anyone have experience with a good 80mm fork.

I'd suggest staying away from air forks. 250 pounds will likely be too much for an air fork.

This fork should do nicely: http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...omp+85+05.aspx

It's an 85mm, but 5mm won't make any difference here.
