Hello everyone. After reading countless threads and reviews from this site and from mtbr.com, i have come to the conclusion of a few bikes. first off i want a bike that is meant for trails. maybe some road but thats not why I am getting it. strictly trails and for flying down hills and ride over anything like rocks and branches or whatever. something that is durable and won't have anything break (hopefully). i plan to upgrade as well as i go. im 220 lbs as well. slowly dropping anyhow here they are.

Kona Stuff $1149

Specialized rockhopper comp disc $1049 and pro disc $1199 and P.2 which i haven't found a price for yet.

Norco Bigfoot $819, Sasquatch $1119 and Manic $1249. (not sure if they have them in so may have to scrap these ones)

what i have found is that the norco bikes (especially big foot and sasquatch) had great reviews especially on mtbr.com and seemed awesome. on this site alot of people have said that the rockhoppers are awesome bikes. the sasquatch price is what im looking around at. so stuff, rockhopper pro disc, and sasquatch are my good choices so far. reason i ask on this thread is because they sell at different stores so they will all say that the bike they have is fine. all i really want to know is if the price difference between them is worth it or not and if they are generally the same since the prices are the same. one main reason i mention prices is to see if any of these bikes may be a deal? is one lower priced then it should be in comparison to the others? this is canadian dollars as well so you know. i just like to have reassurance from other riders who are neutral or have totally ridden these or the type of brands. thanks in advance for any replies. this site rocks.
