Saved from the trash heap.
 

a few days ago I went to a home that advertised free wood. I was building a green house ,so made the trip. .While loading up the wood I noticed a diamondback 24 " 21 speed mtn bike for a child . It had a flat tire and a rusted chain , but looked to be too good for the trash ,so I took it home and gave it a tune up. .Today I was at the local park near my house walking my dog . I passed by a Hispanic man and his young child playing basketball together . I took the opportunity to offer the boy the bike for free . he asked his father if that would be okay. (he spoke little English.) he said yes and so this bike found new life . . It felt great to be a part of this happening .

Good on you. You probably don’t know how much you changed their lives for the positive. Keep up the great work, even when no one else might.
