Nice video and tunes.....♫ maybe some Front Bottoms in the next one. They're good jersey boys and this video looks like it could have been made on the same overcast day, but with a road bike.

In the dirtiest Jersey?
I used to love exploring around the forgotten fringes of the city when I was younger. Always sort of gravitated toward Jamaica Bay, personally. |

I get away from urban areas when riding and certainly not going to ride by or through a smelly landfill. |

The NY State DEC forced the local towns, including NYC to close all its landfills 30-40 years ago due to seepage from toxic chemicals into the ground water. Thus a half dozen or more were covered and capped. One in L.I. became an accessible park with hiking trails, but not for bikes. The two in Brooklyn, now called Shirley Chisholm State Park, got covered and has gravel trails installed where you can bike. It’s a very nice 10-12 mile gravel ride with great views.

The landfills are the last open spaces in most urban environments. They tried to fill in the San Francisco bay with garbage and demolition. Now it's one big landfill loop. Ooofta. Makes me glad that I don't live in an urban environment. |
Here is one in Richmond called Dotson marsh.
