GF Big Sur question
I am a roadie, who is looking to diversify to mtb, so my mtb knowledge is minimal. I can p/u a GF Big Sur 2005, nondisc for $950. I rode it and it felt good, as did a stumpjumper. Should I jump on it?
Thanks
Thanks

I work at a bike stor that deals both of those bikes, i would say that GF tends to give you more for your money but im not too sure about those SRAM rear derailleur, ill never use anythign but shimano on a mountain bike. Ive riden both those bikes as well, the specialized feels crisp and tight while the GF is a little softer and comfy. IT really depends where your going to be riding but i think you will enjoy either of those bikes, great quality great ride

Thanks very much for the input, especially since you work in an LBS, your info is even more helpful.
Thanks again
