A $250 helmut? what does it do in the quarter mile? does it call the ambulance by itself when it feels an impact?

Silliy, the rear spoilier is to increase downforce, improving handling.

On open-wheel racing and motorcycle helmets, fins like that are meant to reduce wind buffetting. Not sure if this is what 661 meant to do by putting this on.

I second that. I have Troy Lee Designs gear and the moto version of the helmet. Everything about it is awsome.

No, it helps to ensure no one has to call the ambulance.

How much more than your standard Giro does one of these things way? Are they made only for use with bicycles?...I like them, maybe I'll get one for the winter.

its all up to you, the giro madmax is one of the best venting fullface biking helmets out there. the helmets like the d2 the 661 and my helmet are hotter and heavier, but they do protect better(and are more expensive). mine cost 310$CDN on sale 25% off

heres my new helmet
fox v3

now this is a Helmet..

is actually this Arai is lighter than most Downhill helmets and extremlly well crafted, in terms of ventilation sucks but the Troy's and the 661 are not much better.

Here's the GIRO helmet I currently wear. I lied about it costing $30....
I got it on sale for $19 about 3 months ago. I wish I'd bought 2....
I chose the Black.

Good point, but that's not necessarily true. Some riders have hit their head, destroyed their full face but came out of it okay, then several days later die of brain bleeding.

I said it "helps to ensure," as in "increases your chances."

Besides, if they're dead, then it's the coroner who's called, not the ambulance.

And while we're at it, please post proof of your assertion above. Thanks.
