I rode...wohoo..I rode my bike,...ya

I finally got back on the horse and rode. Ribs still aching but not piercing anymore I decided it was time...3 runs 2.5 hours and **** eating grin all over my face. I took it slow but was able to get back up to the harder blues. Makes me all fuzzy and warn inside ...

Yippe...I love stunt work wohooo....

Haven't checked bf for a month or so -how'd you wreck your ribs buddy?

Glad to hear your feeling better! I cracked a rib @ the sternum fighting a few years back.
Took over a year for the ache to go away. The bust happened first 10 seconds of the fight, I still managed to subdue my opponent in a wresting hold.

I guess it'd be cooler of I hit a tree or something on my bike.

5 weeks ago I was playing around on the mountain and tried to do a small hip. When I landed my fork didn't move much, I twisted to much and went over the bars...I was able to rotate a bit to avoid hitting my head but landed on the soft spot of my armour. (in between the chest plate and back plate) and broke a couple of ribs. I initially thought the were bruised but went back 10 days later and found them broken...

Good times...I was out of commission for the best month on the mountain and the 24 hour race haha

Glad to hear your back in the saddle. I know it sucks losing a month but look on the bright side....you'll probably have a longer season than us so you'll be able to make up for lost time!
(they're calling for snow above 6000' here, again, this weekend...blah!)

I am not ready for snow. I missed my groove this year and am hoping I can make it happen in the fall. I traditionally ride better wet anyways I, hopefully, have a season till the end of november if I buy lights

Thanks guys. I was really excited. Even rode a trail I usually don't hit. I was pretty confident on it.

Back in the saddle... but watch those ribs, or you'll be back off the bike before long too!

I am taking my time...slowly buy surely back into old form. I rode signifigantly slower and more safe than I commonly do and didn't ride outside my means.

glad to hear you are back at it. I was riding again after a couple like you but it took a while to be able to ride pain free, but eventually you get used to it and one day its weird.... you hit a root, jump(or what ever) without preparing for the pain mentally, and it dont hurt. they should be strong enough to take a crash or 2 by now. Vioxx got me thru mine last summer, then they took it off the market and for a few weeks I wondered if that pain in my chest was the rib or my heart from the Vioxx.LOL
glad you are back to driving the bike again
