Opinions on Nashbar clipless pedals

I have been thinking hard about ordering these Nashbar pedals as my intro into the clipless world. I'm not super worried about the longevity of the pedals... if I like clipless I would definitely upgrade to something higher end next year.

I'm really more concerned with how they would be for a rookie mountain biker with no clipless experience. I mainly want to just get a feel for clipless without starting out with the nice ones. Then again, cheap stuff is exactly that... 'cheap stuff'. I suppose there's the chance that these are horrible and would not be a good clipless experience for me.

So does anyone out there use these, or know of any feedback on them? Many thanks... :)

I've got the Nashbar pedals on my fixed and a set of Shimano SPD's on my cross bike. To tell you the truth, I've never noticed a difference. The Nashbars are pretty good pedals. Just remember to loosen them up before you ride them, they come set very tight.

I has those pedals as my first clipless pedals...and have since had 3 pairs of shimanos and a pair of wellgos

they all worked great at the beginning, the only real differance is the quality degraded faster on the wellgos and the nashbars than on the shimanos, but it wasn't such a huge differance

Thanks much for the feedback guys. I think I am going to hook them up. :)
