Organized mountain bike centuries

Did a search to no avail...I'm looking for a mountain bike century to do sometime between probably May and August next year. I know, not the coolest time of year, but that's how the work schedule says it needs to be. I haven't really found any good resources for information on such rides anywhere on line, but really don't know where to look. Any suggestions?

A century on a mountainbike? Yikes!

Just do a search for 12 hour or 24 hour solo category races.

I'm not sure if i would attempt the Brian Head EPIC! The elevation of the town is 10,500+ feet, I about died after just 2hrs on the bike when i was there a few years ago. Plan on 10hrs on the bike for a full century... no thanks!

Fortunately, I live and ride at between 7000 and 8000 feet, but I'm not real sure that I'd want to do an off road century at 10000 feet. Although, I notice the biggest problems at about 12,000 feet when hiking. Hmmmm...

Thanks for the heads up. It's a goal at this point. I have to convince my wife to let me get a dualie if I try to do it.

I know it doesn't fit into your time schedule, but the Soul Ride is coming up in October:

cat- It would probably work for next year, assuming that it happens again. It's also a little closer than some of the others that have been posted here, and the altitude wouldn't kill me. I would like to find one at lower elevation, (well, lower than 12000 feet), for my first. The biggest problem is that it's on the weekend of the Oklahoma-Texas football game.
