Omaha residents, need info

My wife is heading there for business this weekend (10/1) for 4-5 days. We've gotten back into riding 5-7 miles nearly every week night on gravel paths and 7+ single track on the weekends.

Are there gravel/city paths available in Omaha or Castle Bluffs, IA (she'll be staying at Harrah's there) to ride ~5 miles a night and more importantly, any bike shops with rentals? We have that here so I wondered. Even a park with well marked ST and rental possibilities would work.

If not, it's the stationary bike in the hotel gym.

Omaha has great paved trails that go all over the city. Not sure about rentals, but believe it or not, Omaha-Lincoln is a good place to ride.

As far as rentals the only place that I'm familiar w/ is my LBS, Bike Rack, but that's not exactly close to Harrah's. If you want to check the website it's https://www.bike-rack.com

Someone else mentioned the trail that literally goes through Harrah's, it's not bad. Paved, long and flat but nothing to get too excited about.

Another site that might be helpful is https://trekomaha.com/site/intro.cfm If you go to area trails, they talk about the Wabash Trace, that's a pretty nice trail in Council Bluffs made from crushed limestone. Here's a review of it https://trails.mtbr.com/cat/united-st...2_4547crx.aspx

Sorry I can't help you out more on the rental situation.
