Jr. T, Boxxer, or Sherman Slider? It's the 2003 dual crown battle royal.
 

I'm trying to decide between the 2002 Jr. T, the 2003 Boxxer Race, or the 2003 Manitou Sherman Slider. Whichever fork I end up chosing will replace my Phsylo XC on my K2 Disco Monkey. I got around 4 inches of rear travel. I'm a freerider, that weighs around 130, and doesn't launch off the 20 foot drops. I'm more around the 6 foot drops at the time being. I may do some downhillin here and there but for the most part, it's hard freeriding for me.

Now for the fork selection. Problem with the Jr. T is, is that i'd have to buy it used since i can't spend the extra bucks for the 2003. I would go straight for the Jr. T, however i doubt i'll be able to get my hands on one. So i'll also consider the Boxxer Race and the Sherman Slider. I heard the Boxxer is more racing than freeriding. On the other hand, I was told that the Sherman is more freeriding. (That's what i'm heading towards.) But I have no clue on how they'll perform in replace of the Phsylo. On account of my weight, bike, and style of riding, what would you reccomend getting? Thanks....

You REALLY need a double crown? You only weigh 130, and a single crown marzocchi dirtjumper or Z1 would easily be able to handle you. I know double crown might give you extra confidence, but why dont you save money and go single? The sherman slider or boxxer will be a huge improvement over your little psylo, and so will a single marzocchi. You might even want to get a lighter spring set if you get the boxxer or slider, but I dont know what they will come with.

you sure your bike can handle the extra leverage of a double crown fork? if not stick with some longer single crown forks like the shermans of the marzo's

As as all the previous posts say, stay with single crown if you are not doing huge drops. I would suggest a Marzocchi Z.1 Freeride or Drop-Off. Even the sc Shiver would be a good one. The Shermans sound decent but they are new and I for one am not a fan of Manitou.

I would do another vote for sc. You aren't currently going big enough to bother and you aren't a big rider who needs the plush ride. Depending on whether you like a still or soft ride would allow you to choose between the marz fr or the shiver.

Also Shermans aren't proven. If you are desperate for a dc go with marzocchi or boxxxxxers :)...I personally would go with the 03 marz but thats cause I am biased :)

Boxxers are sweet, but yes more oriented toward racing.
Manitou's are very nice too, more race oriented as well.

Marzoochi's are the Freeride fork of choice. Why? They don't give a crap about weight and are more geared to strength, durability and performance.

I'd stick with Marzoochi and get the best you can afford!

BTW, a buddy of mine is selling his Super T for $500 used, but in great shape. He just bought a Monster T for his bike!

I have a 2000 jrT and it works great, but the new ones are 7 inches, probably even better. I did get to ride a freinds bike, SC Bullit with a 5th element and a 2003 Boxxer Race - I hit a couple 7 foot drops on it and it was wonderful, did'nt want to go bigger since it wasn't my bike - but I'm sure it would have been fine. Off the subject - riding the 5th element is incredible, feels like your pedaling a 3 inch travel bike untill you take a hit, or try to bunny hop.
